RMA Professional Development Links

Education is being able to differentiate between what you do know and what you don't. It's knowing where to go to find out what you need to know; and it's knowing how to use the information once you get it.

RMA Professional Development Opportunities

One of the primary focuses of RMA and APPA is the professional development of its members. Every year there are offerings within the Rocky Mountain region as well as additional opportunities coordinated through APPA. Be sure to check back here often for newly scheduled events.

RMA Annual Educational Conference

Each year the memebers of RMA gathers for an annual conference to renew our commitment to our profession, our motivations, and to each other as peers. Join us in the Fall of 2012 in Sheridan, Wyoming for the annual RMA Educational Forum. This meeting will be hosted by Casper College. See the conference website for more information.

Upcoming Regional Toolkit Sessions

Supervisors Toolkit RMA is committed to making this program available to as many facilities employees in our region as possible.  We do this by subsidizing presentations at a variety of locations, which allows us to offer it at a greatly reduced rate. Supervisor’s Toolkit has received outstanding reviews during previous sessions offered throughout our region.

February 27 - March 1, 2011 in Las Cruces, NM - Toolkit will be hosted by New Mexico State Univeristy. Registration Contact is Melissa Fernandez @ 575.646.2101. Download: Flyer and Registration Form

Upcoming Regional EFP Sessions

Supervisors ToolkitManaging a campus is like managing a small city, requiring vision and comprehensive understanding of structures and their environments. The Educational Facilities Professional (EFP) credential shows that you get it... you have familiarity with standards and best practices, the ability to perform research-backed stewardship, and the facts, ideas and principles that contribute to creative and sound decisions. This credential represents the fundamental advantages that you as a facilities professional bring to your campus and your campus decision-making team.

Host a Toolkit or EFP Session

APPA has established a regional strategy for the delivery of the Supervisors Toolkit and EFP sessions. If you are interested in hosting one of the sessions, perhaps in conjunction with another APPA or RMA meeting, please contact the Chair of the Professional Development Committee.
